AC Milan vs Juventus (Wednesday, 19:45)
AC Milan continue to set the pace in Serie A but their title credentials will face a stern test when Juventus visit the San Siro on Wednesday night.
Juventus, meanwhile, after a stuttering start to the season are showing signs of improvement but they do still find themselves some 10 points behind Stefano Pioli’s side, albeit with a game in hand.
Therefore, the Old Lady can ill-afford a San Siro stumble if they are to be successful in their quest for a record-breaking tenth successive Scudeto.
This looks like a tricky fixture to tackle from a betting perspective, therefore I’m once again going to head to the Bet Builder market to put together a same game multiple.
The combination that I like the look of for this mouth-watering match is both teams to score and each team to receive over zero cards, a 20/23 shot with Bet 365.
AC Milan have rewarded both teams to score punters in 10/15 (67%) of their Serie A assignments this term, while BTTS has banked in 10/14 (71%) Juventus matches to date.
What’s more, Milan have made the net bulge at least twice in each of their last 17 league matches and 11 of their 15 Serie A fixtures this season have featured three or more match goals.
With that in mind, I’m happy to back both teams to oblige during this dust-up, but to boost up the price on the recommended Bet Builder I’ll also add in over zero cards for each team.
History shows that this fixture tends to be a fiery affair and given that both sides are averaging over two bookings per game this term I’m happy to back both sides to collect at least one card at the San Siro.
Referee Massimiliano Irrati has taken charge of just four Italian top-flight tussles this term but his card per game average last season was a whopping 5.8 per 90 minutes.
It’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned Bet Builder landed in the corresponding fixture last July and that adds to the appeal of siding with the same formula at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
