The nightcap of NFL Wild Card Saturday pits the Buccaneers against the Washington Football Team.

The Buccaneers didn’t win the NFC South, that honor went to the Saints, the NFC’s top seed but they did earn themselves a playoff spot. Still, they had a strong season at 11-5 under the first year with Hall-of-Fame QB, Tom Brady.

Washington had a tougher path to the postseason, but few should feel pity for the team qualifying from the NFC East.

They finished with a 7-9 record after beating Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football, in a game in which the Eagles benched their starting quarterback in the second half.

Tampa Bay is a road favorite in this one with the odds opening up at -7.5. Since opening, the odds have moved in favor of Tampa Bay. It is -8.5 at most NFL sportsbooks.

The total opened at 46.5 points and has moved to 45.5 since opening.

Bucaneers vs. The Football Team Wild Card Round ATS Pick

I am unsure why this line is not closer to two touchdowns, to me, anything under -10 is a steal for the Buccaneers.

Not only do they have the offense to score on Washington’s rather tough defense, but their defense should pressure Alex Smith.

Smith made an excellent comeback this season but basically looked like a quarterback playing with one leg on Sunday night.

Things are not going to get better in one week and he might be the most immobile QB to ever take a snap in the playoffs.

I truly do not understand this number and it will easily be my biggest play of Wild Card Weekend. I would not be shocked to see this at -10 or better by kickoff.
